If I’m being honest, I’ve had a tricky time dealing with my problem skin. Over the last year and a half, I’ve tried pretty much everything to treat enlarged pores and dark spots, leaving me feeling frustrated and defeated. However, things are finally starting to look up after receiving a complimentary sample of the new IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Serums. Read on for my full review of two of the brand’s new serums.

Meet The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Serums

There are four serums in the line, including the Bye Bye Lines Hyaluronic Acid Serum, the Bye Bye Pores Glycolic Acid Serum, the Bye Bye Dark Spots Niacinamide Serum and the Bye Bye Dullness Vitamin C Serum. While each is designed to target specific skincare concerns, pairing the serums together can actually help amplify the results and work to treat more than one at once. Keep reading to discover my experience with two of these serums below.

My Review of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Serums

If you have super sensitive skin like mine, then you know it's best to avoid introducing a bunch of products all at once. For the sake of keeping my skin balanced, I decided to test out two instead of all four. Because my pores are on the bigger side (thanks, oily, acne-prone skin), I definitely wanted to try the Bye Bye Pores glycolic acid serum. Dark spots are also a concern of mine, so I decided to try the Bye Bye Dark Spots niacinamide serum as well.

Bye Bye Dark Spots’ star ingredients are niacinamide and ethyl vitamin C, and according to the brand, it can help reduce the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone and texture. It’s gentle enough that it can be paired with other serums, like the Bye Bye Pores glycolic acid serum, which helps to promote a more even-toned complexion.  When paired together, niacinamide and glycolic acid can help give skin a quick refresher and get back on track - which is something I desperately needed.

After carefully reading the instructions on each serum’s box, I learned that the Bye Bye Pores and Bye Bye Dark Spots serums can be used together at nighttime. Tip: If you’re pairing serums, be sure to do your research. Some serums can be paired together and used at the same time, but others should be used separately, like one in the morning and one at night.

After cleansing my skin, I reached for my serums. Using the dropper, I placed four drops of the Bye Bye Pores serum into the palm of my hand before patting it across my face, evenly coating my skin with it. Then, I repeated the same process with the Bye Bye Dark Spots serum. I finished off my skincare routine with a bit of moisturizer to lock it all in before drifting off to sleep.

After use, my skin felt softer and smoother to the touch. I've continued using the serums during my nighttime routine for about a month. So far, my existing dark spots, enlarged pores and uneven texture appear less noticeable.
