It’s a brand new month, which means that new products are making their way onto store websites and shelves and into our medicine cabinets. These are the products Skincare.com’s editors can’t live without this April.

Youth to the People Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum

I always gravitate towards skincare products that do more than just brighten the skin or target  fine lines, and  I totally prefer those  that have the ability to do both! This serum hits the nail on the head thanks to 0.15% retinaldehyde, which is considered an extremely potent OTC retinol that zaps large pores, uneven tone and rough texture, all things that I struggle with. I also love that it has 5% niacinamide to help support my complexion and ceramides to help it retain moisture.

Nudestix Nudescreen Daily Mineral Veil SPF 30

I never go a day without SPF as the last step in my skincare routine, and since I love applying foundation immediately after, this tinted sunscreen is the perfect bridge between my skin and makeup regimens. It has UVA and UVB protection with SPF 30, blue light protection and is 100% reef-safe — all the must-haves in a sunscreen, IMO! Plus, it doesn’t leave behind a cast or sticky residue.

Urban Decay All Nighter Vitamin C Makeup Setting Spray

I’m already a die-hard fan of the original Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, so it was no surprise that I loved this updated version just as much. It locks in my makeup all day (and well into the night, if I’m being honest) while boosting my skin with antioxidant–rich vitamin C and moisturizing cactus water. This is my new secret weapon for dewy, radiant makeup with impressive staying power.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal UV Defense Moisturizer Sunscreen SPF 30

As soon as the first signs of spring emerge I immediately switch out my heavy winter moisturizers for lighter options. This year, my go-to has been this moisturizer with SPF from Vichy. Not only does it give my skin a boost of hydration that lasts for 48 (!!) hours, but it also leaves my skin feeling refreshed and looking radiant — pretty much everything I could ever want in a moisturizer. The SPF protection is simply an added bonus.

Joah Sugar Doctor Lip Scrub

This winter absolutely wreaked havoc on my lips. They were left extremely chapped and peeling most of the season — until I introduced this miracle scrub. After one use, the peach-scented, shea butter-infused exfoliator buffed away all remnants of dry, flaky skin and left my lips feeling renewed and baby soft. Plus, because it helps to boost circulation, it left my lips looking plump and rosy, as if I was wearing a gorgeous lip tint.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Correct SPF 70

Each time spring rolls around, I find myself elbow-deep in a drawer of skincare products, tossing out any sunscreens that have expired (because, yes, they do) and making space for fresh new formulations. One I’m most excited about is the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UV Correct SPF 70 – a lightweight chemical sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum sun protection while an added dose of niacinamide works to fade existing discoloration and uneven skin texture sans white cast or greasy finish.

Skinfix Barrier+ Skin Barrier Niacinamide Restoring Gel Cream

Each year when the weather starts to warm up, I transition to a gel moisturizer that keeps my oily skin hydrated without contributing to excess oil. This one has a lightweight texture that’s still hydrating enough. It also contains niacinamide and peptides to nourish the skin and even skin tone. It will absolutely be my go-to moisturizer come spring and summer.
